Singapore
I took a trip to Singapore and Malaysia. Singapore was incredible from a Landscape Architecture point of view.
It is an island of just under 700sq km but with a population of 4.6 million.
Being so dense issues concerning the potential use of space are paramount.
Previously promoted as the Garden City, it is lush and tropical, filled with trees, flowers and plants.
It still faces infrastructure problems, although public transport is very efficient and widely used it is still overcrowded as are the roads. A good cycle network is non-existant and could possibly help to alleviate some congestion issues.
